Jamboree Program for U5 Players Experience the joy of soccer with your 4 year old! Jamboree One with One is the combination of two different formats that, put together, provides the best possible introduction to soccer for our youngest players. In AYSO soccer, a jamboree means that groups are formed on a weekly basis depending on how many players attend a given session. One with One refers to the concept that each player will have a parent (or other adult) working with them on the field. Learn More »

U12 GIRLS NATIONAL TEAM UPDATE Day 5 - We had our last game Saturday morning against the team from Sandy UTAH. It was a very hot morning, with temperatures in the low 90s at the start of the game. In some ways it was a sad game as the girls knew that it was the last game they would be playing as the current Panther team, but they wanted to end well and coaches wanted them to be strong at the finish. Utah opened with a heavy defense having four defenders in a diamond configuration and only 2 forwards. Most of the play was spent in their half of the field as we had 6-7 good shot opportunities. They had some strength in the back line that could boot the ball up the field to their forwards. On one of these quick counters, we were caught and they scored to move ahead 1-0. The team fought hard and pressed their end in the second half. We were awarded a direct foul just outside the 18 yard box. Helen Fu took a great shot that flew over the wall and into the goal to tie the score 1-1. The game went back and forth in the last quarter with 2 goals called back for offsides, and with the girls ready to drop from the heat we ended at 1-1 draw. Our final pool play record was 1-1-3, with good ties against Florida and California. This placed us 3rd in the pool, but only the top 2 move to the finals which started yesterday afternoon. Our team will be going to watch the finals today at 3pm (right after the World Cup) and as a team we hope to cheer on some of the players they met during Soccerfest. This has been a great experience for the coaches and families. We hope it will be something for the girls to remember and that they take away a lifelong love of soccer, AYSO and fond memories of this trip. Thanks so much for your support. Day 4 - After Thursdays great result it was critical that we win one of our 2 Friday games. Our best shot was the early game against a local west Florida team. Both teams were very evenly matched and the result showed it - a 0-0 tie. Our last match of the day was against the feared Hawaii team that had not lost in the tournament yet and scored at least 4 goals in every game. The girls played their hearts out and kept it scoreless for the first half. A great score from the left where Mary was screened had Hawaii at 1-0 so we opened our offense trying to tie it and go ahead. Rachel, Helen and Tara had some great tries and almost scored, but the final was a respectable 2-0. Unfortunately, Florida won their next game so Hawaii and Florida will advance and we will finish 3rd in the pool regardless of how we do against Utah today. I do hope we play our best game today, our last as this Nationals team. Day 3 - WOW what a day yesterday. We went 1 tie and 1 win in our 2 games and have 13 points, 3rd in our group. The first game was a physical battle against a California team that expected to win everything and got a surprise from a team from ILLINOIS that would not back down. After falling behind early, the highlight was Mary's save on a penalty kick and rebound that fired up the whole team. Tara scored the tie goal through their goalie's legs! Second game against a Kansas team, we did not play well, fell behind twice, but stuck it out (it was hot!) And got the close win 3-2. Very proud of all the girls. Today we take on the top 2 teams - Hawaii and a local PB team. This will determine if we play this weekend. The U12 Girls National Team at Opening Ceremonies CONGRATULATIONS U12 GIRLS SECTION 6 CHAMPIONS U12 BOYS SECTION 6 SPORTSMANSHIP WINNER
